Seventh Heaven for the Champions! #BMegLlamados

Seventh Heaven for the Champions! #BMegLlamados

First thing first. The disappointing loss of the BMEG Llamados versus the defending champions, Talk N Text Tropang Texters, during Game 6 was a lost opportunity for them to claim the coveted PBA title. It was really disappointing and frustrating because BMEG already had the game on their control at the beginning, where they led by 16 points before the TNT Nation just erased this deficit before halftime. At that moment, everybody thought that the balloons were going to fall from above and there will be a championship celebration later in the game. But the TNT just took that dream away from 20, 534 people and fans that watched the game live at Araneta Coliseum, including the 4 of us. I'm talking about our beloved Mama Mae, Miss Mae, Tim, Jf, and myself! :) I really enjoyed my time watching live Game 6 with them. It was memorable for me because it marked the first time where I watched a live game of PBA in the General Admission, the highest level in the venue, wherein you can barely see the players play and you can see them like ants because they seemed so small! Despite watching there, I still felt the "Finals atmosphere" where many fans are cheering, screaming, shouting, and any creative ways just to support their favorite team. Then you can hear the loud drums that made the game more intense!  Lastly, watching a Finals game was far different from watching a regular game in the eliminations because in the Finals, all plays are physical and every possession counts. You can witness drama and intense basketball. However, at that Game 6, it was a sorry loss for the BMEG Planet, including me :( because Talk N Text won it to avoid BMEG from being the champions. At first, it was frustrating and disappointing because I thought the game was Bmeg's game already, especially at the start where they led by 16 points but they were not able to maintain it and lost their composure. But still, it was fun and I spent a great time watching with Ms. Mae and friends, especially the time where we kept teasing each other since Ms. Mae and I were cheering for BMEG while those two "clowns" were cheering for Talk N Text. At the end, those "clowns" had the last laugh and for sure, they went home with a very big smile on their faces.

The Game 7 of the PBA Finals had arrived. It is "All or Nothing" for both teams playing, BMEG vs Talk N Text, since the winner of the game will win it all, including the PBA title, while the loser will go home crying and with their heads down. Unfortunately, I was not able to watch that game live at Araneta Coliseum and I just witnessed the game at home. The crowd during Game 7 were more than expected and beat the record of Game 6's crowd with more than 21,ooo fans in attendance. In the beginning, the game was everybody's game wherein two teams were playing up and down scoring baskets at their respective hoops. The game was really close and as a viewer at home, it was tiring to watch because of the closeness of the game and the intense and physical plays. While watching it, I can say I was nervous because I really wanted BMEG to win the championship because I can say that they really worked hard and showed teamwork to reach this far. But unlike the last game, it was Talk N text who had the game under their control. TNT even led as much as 9 points in the 4th quarter with almost 6 minutes left in the game. At that moment, I was still hoping that there will be a miracle at the end. But some fans were losing hope and telling that it will be another championship for Talk N Text. But do not count out BMEG. With James Yap's 3 point shot, BMEG went close to TNT, 68-74, and they were still down 6 point with just 2 minutes remaining. That was the time where BMEG will show their will to win, their hunger to win a title again, and their determination to stop the Tropang Texters from capturing another title. BMEG shot crucial baskets at the end, where they went closer 74-76 with 1.2 seconds left in the game. Then here came the 2 heart-pumping free throws of Denzel "Monster" Bowles, which served to be his biggest shots of his life at the age of 23 with no experience yet in the professional level. He made the first one, as well as the 2nd one. That just tied the game at 76 all and they went to overtime. You can really see that the whole BMEG team were emotional after that 2 free throws of "Super Bowles" and they all hugged each other giving them hope to take the title away from TNT. In overtime, without the key players of Talk N Text, BMEG just paved their way and TNT cannot stop the domination of Denzel Bowles, who was very emotional and determined to lead BMEG into a championship. He scored the 11 points out of 14 points of BMEG in the overtime where they finally won, 90-84 and captured the PBA Commisioner's Cup. During the stretch, BMEG showed their "never say die attitude". They never gave up and just did the impossible! They made a comeback and did the miracle for the books. Many say that the game was classic and one for the books, which means it will be history. The game was so great that even Talk N Text team felt like winners too because many fans gave them a round of applause for making the series an interesting and a classic one. They also gave their best but it was BMEG who emerged triumphant and won the series 4-3. It was really a good treat for PBA fans where Talk N Text and BMEG showed their hearts of champions. At the end, Tim Cone captured his 14th PBA title, 1st title without Alaska, the very 1st of Denzel Bowles at the age of 23, and 3rd title of Big Game James Yap, the eventual Finals MVP.
